. MARCHING COMPETITION AWARD. , (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. i A meeting of the executive committee i of the band contest was held last night, i when a report was received from the contest committee in reference to the marching competition. The report pointed out ■ that the points on the card handed in i by the military judges were not in the same order as on the musical judges' , sheets, and, consequently,, the numbers , had been given to the wrong bands, i These had been rectified, after compari- ; son with other military judges' cards, , and the results were announced as fol- - lows: — I 2nd Battalion, Thames: Military ; points, 149; music, 70 —total, 225 ' Ist Battalion, Auckland: 148$, 75— j 2231. ; Waihi Federal: 147. 74—221. l Hauraki, Thames, 145, 70—215. i Onehunga: 142, 71—213. : Hamilton: 1401, 70-T-21OJ.
