ANGLO-RUSSIAN DISCUSSION.
FOREIGN MINISTERS CONFER. A SATISFACTORY SOLUTION. LONDON, October 12. An interview lasting two hours took place on Saturday, between M. Isvolsky (Russian .Minister for Foreign Affairs) and Sir Edward Grey (British Minister for Foreign Affairs), regarding the situation in the Balkans, and it is officially stated that this exchange of views affords a reasonable ground for hoping. that a satisfactory solution will be found for a settlement of pending questions. His Majesty King Edward had an audience with Sir Edward Grey for an hour yesterday morning, and with M. Isvolsky for nearly an hour in the afternoon. King Edward gave a dinner in honour of M. lavolsky's visit, the guests including the Prince of Wales, Mr. Asauith, Sir Edward Grey, and other Ministers, Sir Charles Hardinge (Permanent UnderSecretary for Foreign Affairs), Sir John Fisher (Admiral of the Fleet), General French, and Lord Beauchamp. The conference between Sir Edward Grey and M. Isvolsky is to be resumed to-day.
