» ROWING ASSOCIATION. CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA FOR AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The annual meeting of the delegates to the New Zealand Kowing Association was hold in -Wellington last evening, and officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr H. A. Isaacs (Otago), G. La-blan (Wellington), R. W. McVUly lOtago), J. E. Widdop (Wellington): secretary and treasurer, Mr A. D. _. Bayfield (Wellington); auditor, Mr G. C. 0 Fache (Canterbury). n Remits dealing with the registration of 8 . club colours and with the voting powers of _, delegates were negatived, as was a Marl- _ borough proposal to fix the championship b course in Picton Harbour. An Otago motion affecting the status of competitors ln * youths' races was also negatived. It was * resolved, ou the motion of an Auckland » delegate, that the chairman's ruling at the , last anuual meeting that a professional can , belong to an amateur club be expunged * from the minutes. It was decided that the 7 next championship regatta be held at Auckland. The chairman was asked to rule ou the point whether a fisherman was a professional.
