ACCIDENT TO POSTLE.

A. B. Postle, the Queensland professional sprint champion, won his heat in a 100 yards handicap on Saturday in 10 1-5 sees. He was third in the final, but owing to, an injury to his ankle, received during the race, he had to be removed from the track in an ambulance. '. J. Todd, who accompanied Postle from Australia, won a quarter-mile handicap in 51 2-5 sec. Dorando's time for the race was 2 hrs 52 mins IS sec, nearly IS minutes longer than that of the professional ■winner. The condition in which Bbrando entered the Stadium, and his subsequent efforts to finish the course, are too fresh in memory to need recapitulation. Hayes, who was awarded the race when Dorando was disqualified, completed the course in 2hrs. 55 mins. IS sees. Dorando recently met with a serious bicycle accident. He fell from his . machine at ■ Salsa, Maggiore, fracturing his right leg. Dorando was taking the famous ironwater baths, and had gone tor a spin on his wheel, when Eaicevitch, the wrestler, passed him in a swiftly-moving' motor car, stirring up sucn a dust that Dorando became confused, lost his equilibrium, and was thrown.
