COMMITTED FOR TRTAL. Henry Thompson, who was charged on n half *core of informations with grossly misconducting himself in Carlton O-ore-road, Newmarket, and for whom Mr. J. Two first I oii'enders were remanded for medical attention, and one was awarded 10?- or 4S hours. A GIKX'S LAPSE. The girl who admitted last week having misappropriated several articles of feminine garniture from her mistress, at Epsom, last June, was this morning brought up to hear the Court's decision. The probation officer's report was favourable, and Mr. Marsack recommended her also to the magistrate'? leniency, remarking that the girl seemed to b* keenly conscious of the seriousness of her position. His Worship expressed the hope that her unfortunate position would be a lesson to her for the rest of her life, and convicted and ordered her to appear for sentence when required.
