EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.

» The I9th week of the second competition promoted by tlie Xorth Island Egg-laying Competition Association, Ltd., at Cambridge was concluded on Friday last. The following particulars have been supplied by Mr. A. B. Trythall, secretary of the competition. The number of eggs laid during the ■week is 1831, being an average of 27.74 eggs per pen. -rne total number of eggs laid since 16th of May is 22,734, being an average of 344.45 eggs per pen.
