CRICKET.
The Domain was open for practice on Saturday, and mere was a large mueter of players from the various clubs, some good form being shown. The Ponsonby C.C. hold their first practice next Saturday at Victoria Park. North Shore held a practice on Saturday, when there was a full muster of members, and a useful afternoon's work resulted. A special general meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association will be held in the Sports Club on Tuesday, October 6, at 8 p.m., to consider the following notice of motion: "That rule 20 be altered by adding after the word "club" in subsection b the following words: "A cricketer who has played for a district club for five successive seasons may, with the consent of the Management Committee, be allowed to play for that district club for the rest of his cricket career, or until he plays for some other district club.' "
