The schooner Gisborne, which was recently purchased by the Bluff Oyster Company, is loading scrap iron at Auckland for Dunedin. At Dunedin the vessel will be fitted with an oil engine and various appliances, to suit her for the oyster trade at the Bluff, To-day is the anniversary of the birthday of the Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary. The Emperor completes to-day hie 78th year. The L and R, Austro-Hungarian, and other forafen Consulates were nagged in honour of the Occasion. The foreign consuls and many Bromiaeat citizens paid their reepeots to Mr E. Ltaggath, theAustraHriMArian Consul for New Zealand.
