BACK TIME OF STRIKERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. A largely-attended meeting of the Canterbury branch of the Associated Society of Railway Servants was held yesterday for the purpose of considering the position of the strikers of 1890 as to their back time counting for the purposes of superannuation. Strong feeling was shown at the action of the executive in not taking advantage of Sir Joseph Ward's offer to allow the Society to buy in their back time for £1500, and it was decided to send delegates to all branches in the Dominion to place the position of the strikers before the members.
