KLTHAM ELECTORATE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) KLTHAM. this dny. Mr. G. P. Wake, a Liberal candidate for the Egmont scat, addressed a meeting at Eltham last night. He defended the Government finance and combated the idea that the Government was opposed to farmers. He suggested amendmeut of the Arbitration Act by making unions deposit a sum of money with the Government before they were registered, and by automatic cancellation of the reIgistiation of the unions that offended. lln reply to a question bo said that he ! was a Prohibitionist, and favoured retention of the present three-fifths majority. He was accorded a vote of thanks.
