LATE RACING.
TRAINING AT TRENTHAM. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Training operations at Trentham this morning were carried on in wet weather. Scotty put up the best gallop. He did a couple of circuits, the iirst mile being reeied off in 1.55. Compass took five seconds longer over the same distance. Shrapnel and Le Beau were to gallop half-a-mile in company, but the former broke away, and, after half-pacing rouud, spurted strongly over five; furlongs in 1.10, Le Beau taking iiS for a furlong less. Wailethe registered 2.5 for the mile. Grand Mirellii and Truthful covered half-a-mile fu' 565. Loch Fyne did solid work. Fretwork went slowly, find when pulled up it was discovered that he hnd broken a blood vessel Lady Disdain was In front of Paragon at the end of a short sprint. ' "
