PROPOSED INCREASE OF CAPITAL.. The following resolutions will be submitted to shareholders in the Auckland Gas Company at the half-yearly general meeting of the company, to he held on Wednesday, 29th July:— 1. That the capital of the company be increased to £500.000 by the creation of 50,000 new shares of £5 each. 2. That 36,074 of such shares be offered to the shareholders in the proportion of one new share to one old share, at a premium of £5 per share; the premium to be paid pro rata in sums equal to the amount of call from time to time. Five shillings par share to be paid- on application, together with 5/- per share premium. 3. Thereafter from time to tune the directors may make calls on the new shares; part of the premium, equal in amount iv each such call, to be paid -wuli each call; dividend to be calculate.. I from time oi payment of the respective I calls and payment of premium or. part thereof; such payments of premium being subject to the provisions of the Articles of the Company as to calls may at such times as they think fit offer for sale by tender any shares already authorised, fully paid, but, so that the amount of. capital and premium provided by sale of such shares shall not exceed the amount provided by calls and premium on con- ■ tributing snares. *. That the option of taking new shares be open until the Ist I September next to all shareholders in j New Zealand; and UHtil Ist January next to all shareholders resident, or whoso addresses are, outside tbi Dominion i but application with accompanying deposit in each case must arrive at the company's office not later than such respective dates. 5. That any new shares not taken up as above may be disposed of by tender from time to time and upon such conditions as the directors may think fit. ___^_^__.
