The country passed through is of a good character, both for progress and as a gold-bearing class of country rock. A lode-from 6 to Bft in thickness has been located, and the manager thinks it is the body of ore that shed the stone on the southern portion of the mine, previously reported. It looks a good body of ore, and .it depth should make richer in values, as the country encasing the lode is of a splendid class of sandstone. All bauds will now put in a level to cut this lode at a depth of about .40ft. This will require a tunnel of about 60ft in length to intersect it.
