Consoiidateds at 15/6 to 15/9, i * and Progress Mines at 10/. Waihi i * shares were a little easier, being sold U at !Bii/ and 186/6, while .Junctions wore i transferred at 30/ and 35/9. Talisman « Consolidated shares were a shade firmer, 1 changing hands at 45/". and Crowns at , (J/ and 6/1. Ngatiawa shares were easi- I er being sold, but still wanted at 9d. : Golden Belts were soid at 2/ for paidup issue, and May Queens at 2/4. In < Coromandel lines sales took place of Old Haurakis at 2/1 (at which figure , more could have been placed), and Tan- : giaro contributing issue at 1/4 and 1/5. Wailii Extendeds firmed a penny, being sold up to 3 / 8, and several of the low priced Thajncs stocks were enquired for at late rates. Amongst investment stocks there was little change, but a transaction took place in N.Z. Insurance at 75/6. WAIHI CONSOLIDATED. In conenction with the working option over the Waihi Consolidated mine, Mr J. Zimah has paid another monthly instalment of £ 100 towards the working expenses, to the secretary, Mr Jackson. With a view to exploring the auriferone belt of country lying between the recreation ground and the old Union area, the Waihi Company have hired one of the Government rock drills, and it is proposed to put in a horizontal bore from the face of the south-east crosscut at No. 9 leveL The rock drill is under the supervision of Mr W. Carter. The Government, it appears, possess three of these diamond rock drills. GOLDEN PARI. ~ The manager telegraphed this afternoon:—"Strong blotches of gold showing in Davics leader.
