HAMILTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A meeting of the committee of the Chamber of Commerce decided to write to the Minister for Railways, again urging the necessity for the erection of a goods shed at Kiriklrlroa. The president and Messrs. Swarbrick and Pearce were appointed a deputation to wait ou the Prime Minister ■ lv Wellington, and urge that in framing the time-table for the Main Trunk line it should be arranged that trains should leave Auckland and Wellington between 5 and 7 p.m. It wns resolved if the Harbours Act Amendment Bill introduced this year, to request that a country representative on the Auckland Harbour Board should be appointed by the boroughs of Hamilton ami Cambridge and comities of Waikato and Waipa. It was also decided to apply to have £100 placed on the Estimates, again for vuft ;.arvey of the proposed canal connecting Manukau Harbour and Waikato River. Fourteen new members were elected. At the unnnimous request of the committee Sir. Ellis consented to nomination as president for another term.
