A TOIWN IN IXAMES. DAMAGE HALF A MEEJLION. .. (Received 8.50 a.m.) - - OTTAWA, June 23. j A.fire at Three Rivers, near Montreal.' devastated the business portion of the City. Three hundred" of the finest commercial houses in the town were destroyed. The damage is estimated at two mUlion dollars. Three Rivers is a small town situated at the junction of the .St. Maurice and fct. Lawrence, OS miles south-west of Quebec, and is the capital of St. Maurice County. Its population is between ten and fifteen thousand, and its trade is chiefly lumber export.
