Ferguson and Malcolm hold their tender open till such poll ba taken, and (2) that the Council, on .itspart, take steps at once to place the' proposal for such additional loan before the ratepayers. It was decided to seek the sanction; of the ratepayers for a further loan not exceeding £30,000, at a rate of ia.--terest not exceeding 4i per cent <wr annum, with a sinking fund of £ per 1 cent per annum, and guarantee of 21 v years, secured on the Town Hall build- i ing and site, and on the revenue of itSei city, subject to existing loans, for .theC purpose of providing funds to complete the work.
