MEETING OF CREDITORS.

An adjourned meeting of creditors in the estate of Collingwood Hargreavea, a storekeeper, of Waimate North, was held at the Official Assignee's office yesterday, when' it was decided, on the motion of Mr. A. J. Entrican, seconded by Mr. Gunson: "That the assignee pay Messrs. Sargood, Son, and Ewen, W. Gunson and Co., Heather, Roberton and Co., and A. J. Entrican and Co., whom the bankrupt had given an order on the proceeds of sleepers delivered, and to be delivered to the Department of Public Works, a sum equal to 9/ in the £ on their claims, as they stood at the time of the giving of the order, and Messrs. Brown, Barrett, and Co. £48 16/2, as preferential payments, that the said five creditors prove on the estate for the balance of their accounts, deducting from the gross amounts due the cash to be actually received from the assignee, and, further, that the assignee sell and deliver the whole of the sleepers, and receive the whole of the proceeds into the estate." After requesting the assignee not to oppose the bankrupt's discharge, the meeting adjourned sine die.
