A MUSICAL NUISANCE.

In the Magistrate's Court this morning a man was charged on the information of the Railway Department with making himself a nuisance in a railway carriage by playing a violin anil soliciting pecuniary help. The case was practically brought as a test to combat similar nuisances. Defendant was fined £1, and costs £3. It is announced that llr 0. Nicholson, Mayor of Mount Eden, has definitely agreed, in response, to a number of requests, to contest the Grey Lynn seat with the Hon. Geo. Fowlds at the forthcoming elections. Lioutcnuut Kenny is a passenger for Fiji by the Talune to-night en route for Vancouver. "They remind mc of a lot of theatrical people, the plasterers do," remarked a w-itness at the Arbitration Court this morning' in the Plasterers' dispute. "They come here from all parts of the world."
