ESTIMATING THE WEIGHT OF CATTLE.

We hope the time is not far distant when the cattle owners of New Zealand ' will sell their fat beasts by their actual weight, and not by the butcher's estimate; but until that time comes the following table, prepared by the authorities at the New Hampshire Experimental Station, should prove useful. Of course, variations from this rule may be expected, but still it will lead to a very fair approximation:—
