AMUSEMENTS.
WIRTH'S CIRCUS. . Messrs..Wirth-Bros.'.huge tent was absolutely packed at both of yesterday's performances, especially in the evening, -when numbers had to be refused admit.tance. .The long and attractive programme was successfully carried out, and the various feats of horsemanship, i gymnastic and other work were well received, while the animal turns displayed the wonderful power of man over the brute creation. The performance will be repeated this evening, and the season will be brought to a close to-morrow (Saturday), when two performances will ,be given, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. A large share of patronage was accorded the living pictures exhibition by Messrs. MacMahon in His Majesty's The-, atre last evening. The numerous films, both comic and dramatic, were well received, and the illustrated songs were amongst the most charming of their kind. To-night is the last night of the present programme, an entirely new assortment of pictures and songs being prepared for presentation to-morrow, when a matinee will also be yiven in the afternoon. OPERA HOUSE. The vaudeville and musical entertainment, provided by Puller's Company was well received by a large audience at the Opera House last evening. To-night, the last performance of the present programme will be. given, the usual changes being advertised for Saturday.
