SERVICE TO THE FAR EAST.
.(Received. 10.7 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The State Government has made arrangements for Messrs. Donald Currie and Company's steam service to Singapore to be extended to a regular threeweekly service to Rangoon, conditionally on the New South Wales Government coming to terms with Messrs. Burns, Philp and. Co, who also hope shortly to establish a direct service between Melbourne and Shanghai.
