CAPE BRETT LIGHTHOUSE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WKUUNCiTOX. this day. The new lighthouse at Capo Brett will be of the rir-t Older, and a very powerful lantern is now being made in England. The necessary land is being taken from natives under the Public Works Act. and, as soon as the matter is settled, the department will proceed with the work of erecting houses and providing the neees--ary landing place, so as to have everything in readiness by the time the tower, which is to be of cast iron, is made. The light house will be almost a counterpart of that at Stephen Island, and will cost about .C 8.000.
