CLERICAL ASSOCIATION'S RESOLUTION. (By T«egrapn. —Frees Association.) GISBORNE, this day. A meeting of the Poverty Bay Clerical Association discussed Socialism, and passed the following resolution: "That this meeting desires to express its sympathy with the aspirations of Socialism to improve the conditions of wage-earn- : ers, especially in the older countries, and, while unable to accept the view of ex- ; tremists, is of opinion that the Church should give their serious attention to j the proposals for the removal of existing social conditions.
