Reported Sale Denied. LONDON, January 6. Mr A. F. Walter denies that the direction of '"The Times'' will pass out of the Walter family. The "Daily Chronicle" states that Lord Northcliffe f Sir Alfred Harmsworth), Sir George Newnes, and Mr C. A. Pearson declare that the report that " The Times" is to be sold to the proprietors of several magazines and newspapers does not refer to them.
