The Otahuhu Tennis Club concluded their series of socials tvith an "at home" in the public hall on Friday evening, about 75 couples talcing part. Meredith's band provided the music. W. Sbeppard and A. Waddell acted as M.C.'s. These evenings have been a financial as well as a social success, and, haye added the substantial sum o£ £30 to; the funds of. the club. The formal opening of the club-Is to take place on November 9. 'i'JZL ~.Z It was intended that the opeuing of the bowling Reason should also take place on the above date, but In consequence of the state of the grass it has beeu deemed to postpone it to November 3b.
