BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS.
(By Telegraph.—Pi-ess Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. At the recent boxing competitions doubts were east upon the eligibility of Elliot of Timaru, who won the featherweight championship of Australasia. Captain Horneinan, of Sydney, asked the local Amateur Association to inquire into the matter. They have now done so, and returned the answer that they are of the opinion that there are no grounds to support the rumours.
