THE RAILWAY CRISIS.
SUPPORT OF CLERKS. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.} LONDON, October 23. The Railway Clerks' Association has decided to support the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. Mr. Richard Bell, M.P. (Secretary of the Amalgamated Society), speaking at Derby, expressed the hope that the crisis was now at its worst. He had determined not to say a word calculated to impede the efforts of Mr. Lloyd-George to secure a friendly result from the conference with the railway directors. Mr. Bell said he was sorry the Midland Company had been in such a liurry to import outsiders. Such action, instead of intimidating them, would make the men more determined.
