The Norwegian steel steamer Fido ( ii 33 tons), bound from Ocean Island to Sydney, with a cargo of phosphates, went ashore last night on a reef outside of Cargo Island, near Tweed Heads. The crew and two passengers landed safely this morning. The latest reports from the scene of the disaster state that the Fido is hard and fast on the reef, with her hull full of water, the seas breaking completely over her. She is likely to become a total -wreck. [The Fido, which was owned by Messrs. Bech and Olsen, of TVedstcad, Norway, had latterly been trading from Australian ports.]
