ST. JAMES' PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, Tuesday. The annual meeting of St. James' Presbyterian Church was held last night, tha Rev. T. Scott, M.A., Moderator, presiding. Eeports of the various branches of church work were highly satisfactory. The bal-ance-sheet showed that offertories had amounted to £36i 6/11 ; and special retiring collections to £13 10/8. The total revenue, including the overdraft at the bank of £33 19/2, amounted to £526 19/10. The debit sine showed a .heavy extraordinary expenditure, such as improvements to the church site by filling up the section, whilst £51 1/6 had been paid off the manse debt, and £32 7/6 off the new organ. On the property account the statement showed a surplus credit Balance over liabilities of £1224 12/10. The superintendent of the Sunday-school gave a most encouraging report, showing that the number on the roll amounted .to 296. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Secretary, Mr C. J. Saunders; treasurer, Mr J. Clark; committee of management, secretary, anii treasurer, Messrs Murray, Murdoch, Taylor, Eyles, Roberts, Keller, and Mcßae.
