RETURNED KANAKAS.
TRIBAL STRIFE AND BLOODSHED. (Received 9.52 a-m.) BB2SBANE, this day. The reports by the island steamer state that the Island of Malaita is in a very unsettled state. Some of the vessels engaged in distributing the returned islanders from Queensland report that in one part of the island two returned boys were shot dead, and in another part six were clubbed to death. These reports are not officially confirmed. One trader witnessed a tribal fight on a big scale at Guoi.
