SYDNEY MEAT SCANDAL.

I . SYDNEY, July 12. James Thompson, a carcase butcher, who was the Chinaman referred to in Parliament in respect to the allegation concerning the bad meat exported for the Indian Army, has been fined £10 for disposing, of the carcase of a cow in a shocking state of tuberculosis to a firm, who displayed it for sale in Sydney; The defendant pleaded that the cow belonged to his son, who was not aware that it was diseased. The son killed it, and sent it for distribution to the stores. When he (defendant) heard what had been done he used every endeavour to get the animal back.
