AUCKLAND DRAINAGE.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —Since writing my article which appears in your issue of this evening, I have read Messrs. Mestayer and Midgley Taylor's reports on the drainage of Auckland. They disclose a condition of affairs so truly astounding that I propose to deal with them in another article as soon as I can. I think I may safely say that I can promise your readers some amazing revelations in connection with this important matter.—l am. etc., P. A. VAILE.
