Er is understood that the Eev. J. SalIfcer, who succeeded the Rev, Mr. Perry several months ago as pastor of the local Baptist Church,' has resigned with the object of purchasing a farm for the jjenent of his family. His resignation is io be presented to the Deacons to-night. PVTr. Salter is yet undecided as to whether he will purchase the farm at Athenree ox in the vicinity of Auckland. He is Bnxious personally to keep oa the Ministerial work if it can be arranged.
