MR. W. McLAUGHLIN'S FUNERAL.
The high esteem -v w&lcti the late Mr. ■William Mclaughlin was h«ld was manifested by tlie large gathering of friends who paid a last mark of respect, b.y attending his funeral yesterday afternoon. The cortege started from the residence of Mr. F. Biirt. Reuiuera-road, and the interment tr.ok plarp in the cemetery at at tlie Anglican Church. Orabnnn. The grare had been all lined with fern by Messrs. Burteigu -md L-!oy<!. The Box. Mason was ass-isTcd at the funeral service by The Rev. Canon Gould. A large number of fiora! emblems were, sent by public bodies and various associations, as well as private frie.uds. Amongst the former may be mentioned tie Pakuranga Hnnt Clnb, Auckland Rat-ing Club. Anekland Club, Takapuna. Jockey Clnb, Auckland Trotting Clnb, Avondp.le Jockey Crab, Papatnitoi Road Board, and the Ajrrietpltnra.l and Pastoral Association. So ma.ny friends assembled at the church that they could not all get inside the building. The chief mourners wore:—Messrs T. Mcl.anchlin and W. MoLaughliu (sons of deceased). H. Isur!cigh (cvusin), G. Xlci-ol ihrotber-in-lawi. G- Niccol. junior, H. >~ir.eol, and Master Wyn Grady (nephews). The pall bearers were:—Sir ! Robert I-oi:khart Messrs T. Mandeno .(aikson, W. B.
