The recommendations ai-j ! feet some 300 employers, whoso places !of business extend over nearly haif the | North Island. The most noticeable I feature of the recommendations is the ! proposed increase in wages to unskilled workers. The minimum wage under i the current- award is 7/ per day, and, I the Board recommends an increase to , I £2 8/ per week, or 1/1 per hour, outside the city of Wellington. FortyI five hours shall constitute a week's work.
