(Received 10.20 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The High Court gave a majority verdict on the income tux case. The Court to-day deals with the application for leave to carry the case to the Privy CounciL [The House of Lords had previously decided in the case of the Victorian Government that Civil servants must pay I income tax, so that the highest tribunals of the United Kingdom and Australia are at variance oa this point of law.]
