THE RANFtTRLY SHIELD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Xew Zealand Rugby Union to-night, word was received from the Hawke's' Bay .Union that It had challenged Auckland to' plsy for the Ranfurly Shield. A telegram was received from the Buller Union that Auckland ' had accepted its challenge to play for the Shield on July 13. It was decided that If Auckland, which had not yet officially notified the New Zealand Union, was agreeable the match be approved. The Hawke's Bay Union will be acquainted with the arrangement being made between the Buller and Auckland Unions for the match. The "Auckland Rugby Union received the Hawke's Bay challenge by telegraph yesterday afternoon. TO-MORROWS MATCHES.
