ROAD BOARD MEETINGS.

MOUNT ROSKTLL.

The Mt. RosklH Road Board held their nsnal meeting last night, llesers. Chas. Baglev (chairman), J. Ambnry, J. Haslerc, Winston c, and C. Worratl were present Shelter Shed?.—lt was resolved: "That the Bpsotn and One Tree Hill Road Boards be aefced.-to contribute £10 each towards tie cost of erecting a shelter shed at Oreenwood'g porner, t6e Mt. Roekill Road Board to coutrOrate £30 fr>r the purpose. Rates.—The chairman moved, in accordance <with ais notice of motion: (a) "That a general rate of one-halfpenny In thee £°e levied npon all rataßle property In tne Sistrlct;" (b) '■That a special rate of oneeigjita of one penny in the £ be levied for lighting purposes within the gas and water area;" (c) '"That a rate of tnrefreig&ths of one penny in the £ be levied for interest on the water extension worts, guch levy to be made within the water and gas area onry, and three-sixteenths (one-naif) of the rate only to be collected."" This was seconded by Mr. C. Worrall. and agreed to.

Waikowai Bay.—The chairman reported that a deputation, consisting of himself ana Messrs. Hasten and Herd, waited upon the Methodist Jli.'asion Trust respecting the proposal ro secare about 12 acres at Waitawai Bay, in order to open op the bay as a watering-place. The deputation were received most eonrteooEly, and favoured the proposal, providing there were no legal difficulties in the way. It was resolved that the matter be left in the hands of the chairman.

The F"onr Lamps.—ln connection "with the proposal to erect a four tamps light where six roaciri meet, opposite tie.Koyal Oak. It •was decided that Messrs. Bagley, Amfrury, Haslett. and Worrall act as a deputation to wait npou the ODehnnga Borough Ouuncil in reference to the matter.

Plnancp.—The following credit balances were armonnced: General aceonnt i£24S 12/10, gaa account £13 10/9, water account £3 7/3, interest account £48 11/8. Accounts amounting to £10S 4/5 were passed for payment.
