SWIMMING CARNIVAL.

A" swimming carniVal, promoted by Mr. R. Cavill. was held in the Albert-street baths on Friday night, there being a large attendance. Mr Cavill g»ve a ; iSne exhibition •of fancy swimming and divine and some interesting finishes were witnessed in the handicap events. The officials were : Judges, Messrs. W. C. Speight. F. C. Olsen, and S. Biitt; starter, Mr.' H. G. Chevis; check steward, Mr. Holder; call steward, Mr. J. Dewar: costume steward, Mr. ~W. Dewar. Mr. Cavill. with his legs tied, beat Hoey swimming without this handicap, in a race over one length of the bath. I Following were the results: — aCYrts Boys' Race : L. H. Weston, scratch. 1; TV.
