(From. Our Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. • A meeting of the Miners' Union was held last evening to consider the advisability or otherwise of selecting a Labour ticket for the forthcoming municipal elections. After considerable disenssiojn, it was resolved to take steps to choose members to represent the union at the election. It was decided to draw up a platform and submit it to the candidates. On the suggestion of Mr Way, of Anckland, who- was present, it was resolved to adopt a vigorous campaign, instituting street corner addresses by representatives and to open a fighting fund. Mr Way personally opens the campaign to-night.
