Delightfully fine weather favoured the Flenilngton spring carnival to-day. Backers were successful iv the first two races, but got a hard set back in the Flying Stakes. Solution, who was a strong odds-on favourite, going down badly. The favourite showed the way into the straight, but was beaten ere the distance was reached. The following are the details of the race: —
