SALE OF YEARLINGS.

CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday.

The annual draft of yearlinga from Elderslie were sold at auction this morning. There was a large attendance, including Sir Joseph Ward, the Hon. Geo. McLean, and the Hon. J. D. Ormond. Many of the prices obtained favoured buyers. Collectively the 23 yearlings sold realised 25.5g5, an average of 103 4-sgs apiece. The following are the details of the sale:—
