CANNED MEAT TRADE.
(By Telegraph.—Presa Assoclatton.)
CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday.
To-day one of the local meat companies doing a large meat export business received a disquieting cablegram from London stating the buyers had stopped purchasing, and recommending , the cessation of shipment of tinned meats for the present. A reply has been sent asking further particulars. We understand that the state of the London market fpr canned meat does not affect the trade of the manufacturers here, as it is impossible at present to supply local requirement;;.
