arms day. (Before-Mr. W. Q, Riddell, S,iL) The Drunkards.—Margaret Williams had left gaol on Friday after a three months' residence, and she pleaded guilty this morning to drunkenness. "Give mc a chance to go into the home," she pleaded, and upon the understanding that she ■would make an effort to ehe was convicted and discharged. George Thompson, another old offender, was informed that he was liable to imprisonment •svithout the option of a fine, hut was given the chance of avoiding a week's imprisonment by paying a penalty of £ 1 with costs.
