TELEGRAPH-FACILITIES ON RACE COURSES.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—l would like to ask the Minister of Telegraphs, through your columns whether he will open a temporary office near the Ellersiie racecourse for the convenience of the public attending the A.R.C.'s Easter meeting. This was done at Wellington. The committee of the A.R.C. have decided not to allow the telegraph office on their course to be opened, a decision that will entail a great inconvenience to the general public and horse owners. The Minister of Telegraphs stated at Wellington some time ago that he would open a temporary office where the racing clubs refused to do so, and I shall be glad if he will now redeem bis promise.—l am .etc., EQUITY.
