At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday dairy and store cattle were yarded in nsua> numbers. Dalrv cows sold at from £4 .10/ to £10 10/; empty do., £1 15/ to £3 4/; calves, 15/ to £1 6/. Beef was yarded la Average quantities, competition being keen ap to last week's prices, oxen selling to 22/ per 1001b, cow 10/ to 19/. Steers sold at from £6 5/ to £9 17/6; cowe, £4 to £7 lf/6. Sheep were yarded in average quantities at Newmarket on Tuesday. The quality was not first-class, wetfiers selling at from 15/6 to £1 3/3; ewes, 14/9 to £1 0/9. Lambs, in full supply, sold well at from 13/8 to 17/9. Figs: Formers, IT/9 to £2 2/; weaners, 5/6 :o 14/: baconers, £2 4/ to £3. Chaff: Stocks in town are very light, and sales are being made at £4 at the i*all. Potatoes: Good quality selling . freely at £9. Butter: Butter is in good demand at 3d for prime separator, and B*d to Sid for medium to poor. Cheese: Market is lightly stocked. Prime factory Is worth s|d. Gum: Demand for superior white and black has eased slightly. Medium and poor blacks are selling freely, bnt same quality in whites are not selling. We submitted a large catalogue of hides, skins, and tallow on Tuesday, all lines be?ng keenly competed for. Hides: Market arm.
