I-02sD0Isr, April 10. Many amendments are foreshadowed in the debate on the second reading of the Education Bill, which will be taken after Easter. Nonconformists fear that the fourfifths clause will be utilised largely to perpetuate denominational teaching, while the Opposition, on the other hand, propose to lower the proportion. Mr J. Ramsay Macdonald (Labour) has given notice to move an amendment providing teaching of' secular subjects only within school hours from public funds. Members of the Established Church, 'denonhce the""Rill" as tailment of religious instruction, and as disregarding parental rights.
