Alburnia shares improved in price, sales being made at 1/7 yesterday afternoon and 1/9 to-day. This is, no dotibt, due to the crosscut being in good country, and Hearing the proximity of the course of a reef. Waihi Extended shares advanced in price to-day, being sold from 5/S to 5/10, and Grand Junctions were asked for at GO/. Crown shares also improved, being sold up to 6/3, but Talismans were, easier, and offered- at 26/9. May Queens again sold up to 4/9, and more could have been placed ~at that same price. Investing stocks show little alteration in values.

MINERALS, LIMITED,

The second wash-up for the month amounts to IS oz., sold for £72 4/7. This, with the wash up to - the 12th ult.. of £73 3/7. amounts to £ 145 8/2, and. deducting wages for March. £ 77, leaves a profit of £68 8/2. HUNUA. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAJHI, this day. The directors of the Huanvii Gold Mining Company at last meeting decided to continue the drive on the low level, and have lei a contract for that purpose. The mine in No. 2 level has been systematically sampled, and report and assays submitted to the directors are of a very encouraging nature, and satisfy the directors that the property is well worth developing. Several leaders were met with in No. 2 level, varying in size from a foot to 4ft., and assays ranging over a length of ISOft. in the drive show from a few shillings to £ C S/5 per ton. The average, assay result from some 30 samples being £ 2 15/9 per ton. The best values were found in the floor of the drive of No. 2 level. It is likely that a drive in the low level will produce satisfactory results. The directors have been approached with a view to the erection of a battery and- cyanide plant, in exchange for shares in the company, and "the secretary has been instructed to enter into negotiations in the matter. JUNE MANAGERS" REPORTS. Tairua Broken Hills. —The ore from the rise has been of a very low grade, but the , reef still muiutaius its size and appearance. In the western -crosscut there is Btill quartz showing iv the face, but it is <>f a very low value. Js'ew Occidental.—The new crosscut is in B3ft. which, leaves 87ft to intersect the I>ives reef. Kuranui—The Teutonic level is under wiere the mineral reef should be intersected, if it kept its course and underlie down to this level. • A quartz formation about Qin thick has been cut. which may prove to be the reef, but it has not quite the same underlie; therefore we will continue the drive a little further to make sure before starting to- rise. Intermediate ifcvel—The No. 2 reef is now over 3ft wide, ami still contains a little mineral, but not tiuite so much, as it did before it opened out so bis. Top intermediate level— The drive on the shaft reef has been extended 4ft. At a distance of 2Gft from the crosscut we met a break that threw the reef into the east wall and caused it lo split into two leaders about oin thick. They will most likely come together again as we advance. Monowai.—The contractors for tbe new water-race are making fair headway. In the face at present there is -a strong body of quartz, which still keeps hard. The hanging wail country is still of a good ciass. Mahara Royal.—The contractors have extended the crosscut 13ft, making a total of 23ft. The country is still a most favourable class of sandstone, and we have seen a few colours of gold in some of the that cross the face of "the drive occasionally. A height of about-17ft has been attained in the rise on the main reef at the low level. Yfaiotahi East.—The drive has been tended 12ft- lat the week,- through a good class of blocky sandstone country, intersected with mineral veins. Another 50ft will see us under where the rich gold was got in the upper workings.
