W.C.T.U. CONVENTION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, this day. The W.C.T.U. Convention resumed this forenoon. The report of the Educational Committee was read, alßo the report of the young people's work, which showed that four country branches had conducted flourishing bands of hope, and that there were two Unions of Loyal Temperance Legions. A number of unions were enrolling infants in the cradle. The roll of the literature department showed that much activity had been expended in that direction.
Discussion took place upon the subject of dress reform.
Superintendents of departments were appointed as follows: Evangelistic, Mrs Kirkland (Dunedin); Home Meetings, Mrs Crump (NelsonJ; Purity, Mrs Webb (Ormondville); Education Meetings, Miss Powell (Wanganui); Sabbath Observance, Miss Mia_—i (Feilding); Work Among Young People, Mrs Spence (Auckland); Medal Contests, Mrs Evans (Napier); Scientific Temperance Instruction, Miss -Maunder (Hawera); Hygiene, Mtb Oldham (Napier); Influencing the Press, Miss McCarthy (Waimatej; Mothers* Meetings, Mx* Darling (T_ugt_Mr»j_.
